New client: City Marketing Den Helder

Announcing a new partner in crime…

The Dutch City Marketing Den Helder portal is the go-to hub for anyone curious to discover news about Den Helder, Huisduinen and Julianadorp with regard to events, accommodations, living, recreation and cultural heritage. The portal communicates in 3 languages: Dutch, German and English. An internationally-oriented brand that is also located in a physical office in Den Helder – an “experience store”.

This partnership has already harvested its first fruits earlier this year, through City Marketing Den Helder’s Racing Aeolus event. That’s when Cupid’s arrow struck.

Building on the success of the event, City Marketing Den Helder and creative agency ElixIR Consult, have decided to join forces. Some of our future plans include the international Tall Ships Races 2023, the next Racing Aeolus edition, the launching of a new Instagram page led by yours truly, and many more events and international activities to come.

How it started:

“We received many amazing and positive responses on the photos and videos you took for us and the energy you brought to the event! We hope that we can continue our collaboration in the future.”

What is Racing Aeolus? Yearly, in August, international student teams compete in one of the 4 largest sustainability races in the world, where they prove that they’re able to sail against the wind, using their own engineering inventions. The event is sponsored by Wind Energy Events, Rabobank (Dutch multinational banking and financial services company), TNO (innovation research organization), TESO (ferry service between Texel island and Den Helder), Acta Marine (maritime support provider) and others.

Our role: Photography & videography, Social media management, Content creation & copywriting, Post event PR.

Racing Aeolus 2022 - City Marketing brochure

ElixIR Consult has been a key partner in this year’s edition by visually documenting the entire race. Shooting the race cars during assembly and during the race, following the teams everywhere and capturing their emotions, and, ultimately, offering them support from the background. Our team was also assigned to manage the Instagram and LinkedIn channels pre, during and post event, with the purpose of raising awareness and giving credits to the participating teams. Not only did we post live photos and updates, but we also created reels that still generate impressions today, months later.

Because flexibility is at our core and quality is invaluable for ElixIR, our team took the time to provide each individual team with their own sets of images and videos (raw and edited).

The large success and proper visual documentation of the event resulted in significant local, regional and national media coverage, as well as potential for new partnerships in the next year’s edition. On that note, ElixIR is responsible for preparing appropriate media and partner kits to pitch to new sponsors.

Looking forward to all the new challenges together!

Don’t apologize for your brand stories. Hit them with a plot twist. – ElixIR
